-For the first time in more than a year, the jobless rate in Floyd County dropped out of double-digits--barely. The The Georgia Department of Labor reports the Rome/Floyd jobless rate in October was 9.9 percent vs. 10.2 percent in September and 10.7 percent in October 2009.
