-Georgia House Speaker vote, set for Monday, already getting nasty: A story in The Times in Gainesville tells of state Rep. Doug Collins, a Republican, who is on active duty in Iraq. Barry Loudermilk recently said he wants to know who's in the final running before deciding his vote.

-Chambliss-Martin face runoff: Incumbent Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss had 49.9 percent of the statewide vote; Democrat Jim Martin had 46.7 percent and Libertarian Allen Buckley had 3.4 percent. About 96 percent of the state's precincts have been counted. The AJC, AP and others report the race appears headed to a statewide runoff Dec. 2 > U.S. Senate

-Definitely a runoff in Court of Appeals, PSC: We're not done voting yet. Because candidates failed to get the simple majority of votes, runoffs are needed in the Public Service Commission District 4 race and the state Court of Appeals race.
