'For sale' sign on proposed home for Integrity Heights of Riverside:

A year ago, signs quickly went up announcing the new professional office development at Riverside Drive and the Bypass across from Fuddrucker's and State Mutual Stadium.  Today, the "coming soon" signs are gone, replaced by "for sale" signs. The project was planned by Integrity Development Group out of Smyrna. This is separate from the development planned nearby by Josh Tullis and Garden Lakes Development> Integrity

-Unity site gets OK from county commission: The proposed new home of Unity Christian School off the Bypass at Wilbanks Road won a special use vote from Floyd County commissioners Tuesday afternoon.  Immediate development is not planned. The school currently has two Rome campuses> County agenda

-Forestar Real Estate Group Inc., which is planning the massive Town West development near Adairsville, is scheduled to release third-quarter results on Wednesday morning, Nov. 5. Forestar is a spinoff of Temple-Inland.

-Temple-Inland's earnings drop by 90 percent: Temple-Inland Inc. reported third quarter net income of $3 million vs. $36 million for the same quarter last year. The company recently announced plans to close the box plant in Coosa, idling as many as 91 employees> TI

-Young Professionals of Rome to meet at Citizens First Nov. 12: The next meeting of the Young Professionals of Rome organization, a branch of the chamber, is set for noon Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the main office of Citizens First Bank, 701 Broad St. The bank is the sponsor. Tickets are $10 per person.

-Track today's markets: Dow was up almost 890 at closing> Google Finance

Campaign Watch

-Early voter success stories continue: This latest update is from Gordon County where more than 6,000 have voted early. As of Tuesday night, 6,041 registered voters had cast ballots in the Nov. 4 general election, or nearly a quarter of all registered votes in Gordon County. Some 4,920 did so during early or absentee voting between Sept. 22 and Oct. 24. Another 624 voted in advance Tuesday and 497 did so Monday. High turnout is being reported across Northwest Georgia.

-The next three days: The elections office urges voters to visit the Civic Center today-Friday between 8 a.m.-7 p.m. The other option: The County Administrative Building, 12 E. Fourth Ave., second floor, commissioner's caucus room> Floyd

-Election day: Precincts will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Anyone in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote Nov. 4.

-Sample ballots online: You can preview the ballot for your community online at the Floyd County Web site. The ballots are broken into state House districts:
