Report at a glance:
-Deposits in banks serving Rome/Floyd County grew by 1.16 percent as of June 30 or by $22 million, the latest FDIC annual deposit report shows.
-The biggest year-over-year change was at River City Bank, where deposits jumped by more than $35 million while market share (of deposits) climbed from 5.3 to 7.7 percent.
-Greater Rome Bank continued as the community bank with the highest deposits and market share. After River City, Unity National posted the largest growth.
-Citizens First continued to lead total deposits and market share even with a slight slip in both. Wachovia saw the most gain in deposits and market share among the larger players.
Some caveats:
-This FDIC report accounts for deposits only and does not include assets and liabilities for the banks listed.
-Also not included: Deposits held by credit unions serving this market.
-Reports for McIntosh Commercial Bank were filed just as the office at Second and Broad was closing.

Perdue--Revenue collections climbed in September: Gov. Sonny Perdue says net revenue collections for September totaled $1,632,334,000 compared to $1,561,749,000 for September 2007, an increase of $70,585,000 or 4.5 percent.
The percentage decrease fiscal year-to-date is 2.6 percent.
