New restaurant wave eases; what's next on the menu?
-From Fat Nanny's to Fox's Pizza Den, several new restaurants have opened in recent weeks. A new one is coming downtown soon with another expected to follow. The only others on radar are in 2013.

Reminder: The annual Can-A-Thon is under way until noon today at State Mutual Stadium. Donations will help the hungry of Floyd, Polk counties way into next year.
-Board of Realtors' Christmas meeting today at noon, Coosa Country Club. Includes installation of new officers; Toys for Tots collection.

Longer hours either under way or on the way for shopping sites as Christmas countdown clock ticks away.
