GNTC Law Enforcement Academy Graduation Announced

Media release: Sixteen Basic Law Enforcement recruits will graduate from Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) on Thursday, December 8. The ceremony will be held in the conference room at GNTC's Gordon County Campus at 11:00 a.m. The guest speaker at the ceremony will be Dr. Craig McDaniel, president of Georgia Northwestern Technical College.  McDaniel has served as president of GNTC since April 1, 1998 and has been employed with the college since 1979.  McDaniel has been involved in a number of community and civic activities including:  member of Rome Rotary Club, having served as president in 2009; served as chairman of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce in 2002; member of the Redmond Regional Medical Center Board of Directors, having chaired the Board from 2005-2008; and is a 2009 recipient of the Heart of the Community Award. 

The ceremony will honor one graduate with an award for academic distinction and the "Top Gun" award for excellence in marksmanship.
