GHC Offers Community Library Cards
(Media Release) The American Library Association   has designated September as National Library Card Sign-Up Month, and Georgia   Highlands College is offering its cards to the communities it serves. In fact,   the GHC libraries are open to all residents of the state of Georgia. The Floyd   and Cartersville campuses house excellent collections for research, learning or   pleasure. 
  The GHC libraries make more than 70,000 books available to   card holders, including thousands of children's and young adult books, current   best-selling fiction and non-fiction. There are also more than 80,000 ebooks and   37,000 magazines, newspapers and journals available through GALILEO, the virtual   library that links all Georgia libraries together. 
  Professional librarians are available, and all of them hold   the American Library Association-accredited Master of Science in library and   information science, plus a variety of other degrees and   certifications.
  The Floyd campus library is located at 3175 Cedartown Highway   in Rome. The Cartersville branch is at 5441 Highway 20 in Cartersville. Citizens   of Rome and Cartersville may come in any time during operating hours (Monday    Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to noon) to obtain a card. Or they   can call the libraries for more information at 706-295-6318 (Rome) or   678-872-8400 (Cartersville).
