Extended Holiday Open Hours for the Rome Area History Museum

 
Media release: The Rome Area History Museum is happy to announce that the Rome Area History Museum is opening for more days/hours of the week during the holiday season! During this time you may enjoy our permanent history exhibits and come see our new "Christmas through Time" exhibits throughout the museum
 
Rome Area History Museum – Holiday  Hours (305 Broad Street):

Open:

Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Thursday: 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Friday: 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Saturday: 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

 

Medallion Gift Shop Hours (303 Broad Street – corner of R.A.H.M.)

Open:

Tuesday through Thursday: 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Friday: 11:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Saturday: 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

 

Our "Christmas Through Time" exhibits are being created by the talented women of the "Rome Federated Garden Clubs", who will have their different sections judged, and prize ribbons awarded, on Friday, November the 18th!

 

Saturday, November 19th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. will be a FREE day at the museum, so that the public may sample "Old – fashioned" Christmas traditions like home-made, old family recipe cookies and wassail punch, while roaming the museum and discovering more about how people in the United States have celebrated Christmas throughout the years!

Victorian Era

Art Deco Era (1920's)

A WW2 Era Christmas

Happy Days Era (1950"s)

The "Mod" 1960's

Into the new millennium – MODERN celebrations of the season
