Fans line up for new West Rome Taco Bell. 400 block site for sale on Broad. Rome parade a go for 6:30 tonight; 40 degrees, no rain.

West Rome's new Taco Bell is open:

-Wednesday evening commuters saw the new shop at 2216 Shorter Ave. NW at full speed, including a very long line in the drive-through land. The former location was leveled and a replacement built as a turn lane will be added from Shorter onto Redmond. Local Taco Bell fans were diverted to the East Rome location off Turner McCall--which also was getting a refit at the time. That store's drive-through remained open while the remodeling was completed.

Another building for sale on Broad Street:

-A big piece of Broad Street's 400 block is on the market. The building at 413 Broad, which houses La Scala and several other businesses, is for sale for $768,000. It is the real estate only; the businesses are not part of the sale. Says the Hardy Realty listing, "the top floor could be the hottest loft space in town."

-Greater Rome Realtors honor colleagues, install new officers. Business
