>Roman Record's 'gossip sheet' rep on the record? While rehashed business briefs usually get the cover spot on the Rome News' Roman Record section, "the thing that drives single copy sales is that we put all the arrest reports from Floyd County and Rome police in it, including the time of the arrest, the day and what the charges are," said Publisher Otis Raybon. That's one of the quotes from the SNPA Newsletter, out Thursday. Under the "Idea Exchange" section is a story on the weekly tabloid with a headline "Roman Record offers weekly snapshot of government." Also included: Monday's RNT sells "about 1,300 more single copy sales than any other weekday edition. Roman Record generates about $150,000 annually," says the writer.
