-Business owners opposing new sign ordinance issue call to arms: A note passed among members via e-mail Wednesday says, in part: "We as concerned businesses and business owners ask you to join us ... Thursday ...at 2:30 p.m. at City Hall in the Sam King room for a hearing with the planning commission. We need to make sure we show up in numbers to express our disapproval of the new sign ordinance. The sign ordinance does not allow a business to take their message to their consumers. We need the ability to have ample signage, banners, etc. to draw our potential clients to our business."
