La Quinta Inn & Suites -LaQuinta opening listed as 'late December':  The third member of  Rome's "Hotel Hill"--Hampton Inn, Comfort Suites and now LaQuinta Inns & Suites--is listing a late December opening date on real estate and travel sites.

-Restaurant's sales to benefit community group: The new Southern Buffet at 19 John Davenport Drive will donate 20 percent of Thursday's revenue to the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth. Hours: 11 a.m.- 8 p.m.
