>Demand building for McCain-Palin signs? Monday should be a big day for local McCain-Palin supporters as Republican Party headquarters in Rome and Cartersville prepare for their first signs promoting the GOP nominees. The Web sites of the Floyd and Bartow parties are advertising the delivery dates.
>The Sarah Palin Chronicles: Nothing waits in the online word which is why some of the social media sites are leading the way in debating the pros and cons of John McCain's running mate. They range from the "I Heart Sarah Palin" groups to those whose members boast more political experience than the mayor-turned-governor. Check Facebook and others for local faces on both sides.

>The Newswire folks, upset about Wal-Mart booting free publications from local stores, have alerted anti-Wal-Mart Web sites. They're urging a call-in campaign to get back inside. Most newspapers pay retailers a nickel or so per copy sold to be available to store customers. Wal-Mart was honored for one such campaign (details). So why give paying customers' competitors free access? There's no public service or censorship issues here. "Free" newspaper ad sales are based mostly on promised distribution. Maybe that's the real issue behind this issue.
