Tuesday's Buzz
>Floyd elections board needs new member: Donna Bojo, the longest-serving member of the Floyd County elections board, has resigned with six months left in her term. County commissioners will appoint her replacement, says Pete McDonald, the elections chair. Both McDonald and Mardi Haynes-Jackson were appointed following the 2006 election. The board has made several changes since then, including the two advance voting sites at the East Fourth office and civic center. McDonald says the elections board and office are in fine shape to handle both advance voting and the July 15 primary.
