Tuesday morning buzz:

>No Seven Hills Town Center on this month's planning commission agenda: It will be at least another month before planners get a closer look at issues involving the proposed Seven Hills Town Center on U.S. 411 between Callier Springs Road and the new Holiday Inn Express. The agenda for the June 12 meeting is posted and it has no references to the 590,000-square-foot retail center. Previous reviews were pulled by the developers before the April and May planning commission meetings. One thing that is delaying the project: environmental concerns. >Former Justin Hyundai site up for rezoning as new-style carwash: The planning commission agenda includes a request to rezone the lot at 844 Turner McCall Blvd SW from community commercial to heavy commercial, allowing a car wash operation similar to the new one on Shorter Avenue. Hyundai is now part of the Riverside Automotive Group with sales at 100 U.S. 411.

>What's up at Central Plaza? The former home of the international buffet, Brick Oven Bistro and Jarrad's barbecue is now behind paper-covered windows. The chatter we hear: a new restaurant concept.

>Greater Rome Bank celebrates a '10' on Second Avenue Wednesday: The branch office next to the YMCA has been open 10 years and to celebrate, the bank is treating customers the entire day. Breakfast food is available until lunch time, which is when the cake gets cut and the switch is made to lunch fare. Customers will receive a small gift and have a chance to enter to win a $100 in gas.

>River City Bank offering first time homebuyers class June 12: The session is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the bank office at Second Avenue and West Third Street. To attend, please contact Sonya Blankenship at 706-236-3526.
