Media Release: This fall, Georgia Northwestern will unveil its NJCAA Competitive Cheer program. First on the schedule is to host the First Annual Cats Cheer Extravaganza Competition for the youth cheer squads across the region. Teams from ages 5-12 years of age will be eligible to register for the competition being held at Walker County, Georgia's brand new Saddle Ridge Elementary/Middle School.

The Cats Cheer Extravaganza will begin at 6 p.m. on September 23. Divisions will be divided by age group ranging from five to 12 years of age.  Squads can take part in the Cheer Competition and/or the Dance Competition. The entry cost is $10 per team, per event.

"This is a great opportunity for our program to reach out and help showcase the sport and those involved across our region," said Georgia Northwestern Head Competitive Cheer Coach Karen Stoker. "My recruits will be on hand to take part and help out where needed. Everyone at the competition will get an amazing experience. Also, our squad and the area high school squads will be performing, as well."
