Media release: In an effort to improve the learning environments of its students, and to increase the scope of its academic offerings, Unity Christian School has announced plans for capital improvements of classroom and athletic space on its main campus.
Unity Christian School is located at 2960 New Calhoun Hwy NE, Rome, GA. The school was founded in 1998 by a group of local pastors who recognized a need in Northwest Georgia for a Christ centered educational facility that would seek to minister to the spiritual and academic needs of Christian parents and students. To accomplish this goal, Unity Christian School offers a Pre-K3 through 12th grade vertically aligned curriculum designed to stimulate critical thinking, problem solving, written and verbal communication of original thought.
Each student is exposed to biblical training and the incorporation of a Christian worldview throughout their time at Unity. The school provides a stimulating environment where students are challenged to excel academically. At the same time, they are also given the freedom to encounter, engage and experience Jesus Christ on a daily basis.
In 2005, Unity Christian School moved into its current facility on the corner of Highway 53 and the Rome Bypass with the vision of preparing a comprehensive plan to further develop campus facilities to accommodate enhanced academic offerings, fine arts experiences, and indoor athletic team practices and contests. This plan includes a multi-phased approach to accomplishing all that needs to be done to expand the school's educational programs and extra-curricular offerings.
The current plans for remodeling and construction at Unity Christian School are an exciting part of this planned approach for improving learning environments at the school. Each step of the growth at Unity is made in consideration of partnering with parents committed to Christ-centered, Biblically-based education to promote excellence in academics, to equip students with Christ-honoring leadership skills, and to develop their God-given potential which empowers them to impact the world of Jesus Christ.
