Greater Rome Bank partners with American Red Cross to help with disaster relief efforts following Jan. 30 tornadoes

Media release: Greater Rome Bank has partnered with the American Red Cross to assist in disaster recovery efforts in areas of Floyd, Bartow and Gordon Counties affected by the storms that swept through Northwest Georgia on Wednesday, January 30. Through the American Red Cross Customer Donation Program, all Greater Rome Bank locations will serve as a collection point for monetary donations. The collection will begin on February 1, 2013 and run until April 1, 2013. Greater Rome Bank will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the campaign to American Red Cross Disaster Recovery.

"I am inspired by the caring hearts and generosity of the team at Greater Rome Bank. As soon as news broke of the devastation to our communities, our team instantly wanted to help" said David Lance, Greater Rome Bank President and CEO. "We are beyond fortunate that our team members' homes were not impacted by the storm, yet many of our customers were less fortunate. Our customers are a part of our GREATER family, and this is the least we can do in a time of need and crisis. We are honored to be partnering with the Red Cross to restore our great communities of Northwest Georgia."

Anyone wishing to contribute funds to the American Red Cross may visit any Greater Rome Bank location. The Main Office is located at 1490 Martha Berry Boulevard, the East Rome Office is located at 800 East Second Avenue, and the West Rome Office is located at 2518 Shorter Avenue NW.
