(Media Release) The Humane Society of Rome + Floyd County elected its 2012 2013 Board of Directors last Thursday evening. So far this year, $4,816 in vaccines has been donated to underfunded Floyd County Animal Control for puppies + kittens.
$12,810 has provided food, veterinary services, and vet supplies to aid pets of needy families, and to foster injured or neglected pets. Thus far this year, 181 pets of low-income homes are now altered, at a cost of $10,868 in Spay / Neuter vouchers. And our new, revised Adoption Program has rescued, vetted, and successfully adopted 30 spayed/neutered pets in the community since August!
