Floyd makes donation to Cancer Navigators for Doctor's Day

(Media Release) Floyd honored physicians who provide care in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama with a donation to Cancer Navigators on Doctor's Day, March 30.

Each physician received a card thanking them for their service and communicating that a donation had been made in their honor to Cancer Navigators.

"On behalf of the over 200 physicians on our medical staff, Floyd is pleased to make this donation to Cancer Navigators to further the outstanding service you provide to the most vulnerable members of our community," said Dan Sweitzer, vice president for market development for Floyd, said when notifying Cancer Navigators of the award. "Thank you and your staff for your compassion, expertise and dedication."

Sweitzer presented a $3,000 check to Cancer Navigators Board Chairman Dee Yancey at the Cancer Navigators office, 310 W. 10th St. in Rome.

"We'd like to thank Floyd for selecting Cancer Navigators as this year's beneficiary. We are so glad they recognize the impact this nonprofit has in our community," said Yancey.
