Soggy wake-up for Northwest Georgia:
-A small storm is moving through parts of Northwest Georgia this morning, bringing some rain and a bit of thunder and lightning. A trace of rain has fallen at the Rome airport. We have a 50 percent chance of more rain today with a high of 93 and heat index of 102. More weather.

-The magazine released its expanded lists at 12:01 this morning. Both Shorter University and Berry College are expected to release statements later this morning regarding their respective rankings. A preliminary check shows Shorter ranked 17th (click) We'll post links to those statements.
Community's input needed for Comprehensive Cultural Plan:
-The local arts community is seeking the public's help to complete surveys for the development of a comprehensive arts and cultural plan. The surveys will be used to identify community arts and cultural needs and, in turn, to develop strategies to implement these needs over the next 20 years. Buzz
St. Andrew's Anglican Church forms in Rome:
-That's the new name for the former Word and Table Anglican Fellowship in Rome. The Standing Committee of the Anglican Diocese of the South on Saturday approved the group's request to affiliate with the diocese, which is part of the Anglican Church in North America. For more, click here.

-The 1,200-square-foot shop will be near the Old Havana cigar shop end of the strip center anchored by Kohls.
