Triple-digit Heat today; Indie Film to be shot in Rome; Berry Teacher Helping the Gulf

The Board of Directors of Greater Rome Bank will meet today for their regular monthly meeting. An interim president may be appointed to replace Dwight Stout who resigned earlier this week. The Northwest Georgia region has seen a wave of executive changes at community banks in the past year.
 
Indie film to be shot in Rome in August: Filmmaker and author Rick Schmidt will join with RIFF founder Barry Norman to shoot a feature film in Rome. The yet unnamed film will be shot the first week of August at several well-known locations including The Claremont House and Schroeder's Deli on Broad.
 
Berry Elementary Art teacher, Claire Howard, is putting her creative skills to work to raise money to help the Gulf coast region affected by the oil spill.
