-Work begins on Wachovia's Berry Crossing update
Customers and motorists are seeing changes begin at the Wachovia branch on Martha Berry Highway and Redmond Road. The office was listed as a major anchor when Berry Crossing was announced almost two years ago. Since then, a CVS pharmacy has opened (late March) and pads are poured for more development on the west side of the property. No word yet on future tenants or build-out dates.

-Richt-signed football winners announced by American Red Cross: Kaytlin Greenley with Coosa Valley Federal Credit Union was chosen to pull four names from four canisters Wednesday names of fans who would be taking home a UGA football signed by head coach Mark Richt. Raffle tickets were sold in Bartow, Floyd, Chattooga, and Polk counties. The winners were Brian Westmoreland, Bremen; Hubert Woodward, Cartersville; Abbie Duvall, Rome; and Debbye Blalock, White. The raffle raised $1,400 for the local Red Cross chapter.
