  • Business: Heritage First Bank merging with First Chatsworth Bankshares to create a regional footprint from Rome to Cartersville to Dalton and Chatsworth -- with mortgage offices in Paulding and Chattanooga as well.
  • 8 more COVID deaths posted Tuesday in NW Georgia; 4 in Bartow, 2 in Polk, 1 each in Floyd, Chattooga. Record 170 deaths statewide. 30 of 71 patients at AdventHealth Gordon have COVID. 134 patients in Floyd, Redmond.
  • COVID on campus: Rome had a record 684 quarantines Friday. Floyd students off Tuesday. Rough day at Cartersville: 17 positives; 169 quarantined.
