  • Precincts open today from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. (check MVP link before going). Updates throughout the day. The count: Results very likely to stretch into Wednesday on all levels.
  • Georgia deaths at 7,999 or 1,000 a month since first fatality on March 5. Also, 40 new 'positive' cases in last 24 hours in NW Georgia; 59 in Floyd, Redmond hospitals, down 8
  • Floyd plans to resume jury trials in December. Says Chief Judge Bryant Durham: '... we will do everything we can to keep you safe and secure as you serve.'
