New look for Rome's returning Huddle House: The remodeling job on the Dodd Boulevard location is just about finished.


Busy weekend in Northwest Georgia:

-June 1-2: Clocktower Classic returns.
-June 1: The Exchange Club of Rome's First Saturday Sale. 
-June 1: Floyd County Democrats meet at 9:30 a.m.
-June 1-June 15: Push-pin Civil War Art show at the studios of Blacktop, 204 Broad St. Free to all, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 
-June 1: Ridge Ferry Farmers Market open 7-10 a.m.
-June 1: Streets Alive returns to downtown Rome from 2-5 p.m.
  • Bike parade beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Broad Street and Third Avenue
  • Some road closings and parking changes.
  • The Playtona 500 race returns at 5 p.m. as a warmup to the day's main event, the Downtown Criterium.
-June 1: 333 on Broad and Acts of Random Theatre present 'You Bet Your Life's in Jeopardy!'
