House Speaker David Ralston Appoints the Mental Health Access Study Committee

 

Media Release- House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced the following appointments to the Joint Study Committee on Mental Health Access:

·         State Representative Katie Dempsey (R-Rome), Co-chair

·         State Representative Kevin Tanner (R-Dawsonville)

·         State Representative Pat Gardner (D-Atlanta)

            The Joint Study Committee on Mental Health Access, created by HR 502, is charged with studying the state mental health system and examining access to treatment.  The joint study committee is a nine person committee made up of three members appointed by the Speaker of the House, three members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor and three members appointed by the Governor.
