Friday: Exchange Club of Rome to select high school speech winners

Media release: Young high school students from Rome and Floyd County will compete in the annual Exchange Club Speech Competition on Friday, March 22, 2013.

 

The students will each deliver a speech centered around Americanism and will be judged on preparation and presentation. The winner will receive a cash honorarium and will become a part of the Georgia District of Exchange speech competition to be held as part of the annual convention to be held Albany in June.

 

The annual speech competition is an annual program of the Exchange Club of Rome, the second largest Exchange Club in the United States and Puerto Rico. Exchange is a service organization dedicated to working in the community, support of youth, Americanism, and combating child abuse.

 

The Rome Club meets every Friday for lunch at the Palladium on the Coosa Valley Fair Grounds.
