The rankings were revealed on February 18 at the annual Training Magazine Learning Conference and Expo in Orlando, Fla. Hundreds of professionals were on hand for the countdown, which is a core component of the annual workshops and presentations that celebrate the value of workplace learning.
The elite list honors excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs and is recognized as the industry's gold standard. This is Mohawk's third year in Training's top ten, having achieved a peak ranking of fourth. Mohawk is the only flooring manufacturer to achieve a top-ten status and one of a small number of manufacturing companies to attain that level of success.
Mohawk earned acclaim for a multitude of corporate training initiatives in manufacturing, logistics, sales and administrative areas as well as Mohawk University, which provides retailers with world-class training, education and business management resources. The rankings underscore Mohawk's learning culture and commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
"The value of continued education and quality training programs to a business cannot be overstated," said Amanda Arnwine, Mohawk's corporate learning director. "Continual learning is essential to keep a business competitive."
The current "Top 125" competition includes more entries than ever before, according to the magazine. The rankings are determined by assessing a range of factors, including the scope of development programs and how well those development initiatives help the organization achieve its business goals and objectives.
"Knowing that the selection process was more rigorous this year makes the recognition even more meaningful," added Arnwine. "It reflects our commitment to deliver bottom-line results and improve organizational performance."
Other notable companies in Training's "Top 125" include Bank of America, Best Buy Co., Inc., Century 21, Dell, Intel, McDonald's, MetLife, UPS, Verizon, and Wells Fargo.
