Expect worst of storms, rain between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today
-Wind advisory, flood watch posted for the region,

-Rain: Up to two inches in some areas.
-Wind: Winds of 25 mph expected; gusts could top 40 mph

-Storms: The Weather Channel's TOR:CON index lists North Georgia as a "4 to 5" probability on a scale of 0 to 8.

Eaglets hatch at Berry College: The college community and wildlife fans are celebrating the hatching of one or more eggs in the eagles' nest near the Cage Center on Berry's campus.

Jeff Haarlow has resigned as men's basketball coach at Berry College, effective immediately. Derek Taylor, the team's assistant coach, will serve as the interim head coach.
