Media release: The Partnership for Health and Accountability presented two of its prestigious Quality and Patient Safety Awards to Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome. The first award-winning project titled, "Benefits of a Comprehensive Hospital-Based Heart Failure Program," and the second award-winning project titled, "Providing Emergency Care at the Worksite: Rapid Response Initiative Leads to Reduced Healthcare Costs for Local Employers," each tied for second place in the Hospitals with 100 to 299 Beds Category.
Redmond was also presented with a Circle of Excellence Award, an honor given to hospitals and health systems that have demonstrated a sustained commitment to quality and patient safety as evidenced by not only winning a patient safety award in 2012, but also by earning three or more PHA Patient Safety Awards within the previous five years. These annual awards recognize Georgia health care organizations for achievement in reducing the risk of medical errors and improving patient safety and medical outcomes.
"We introduced our Heart Failure and Worksite Response Programs as efforts to continually improve quality, service and patient safety," said John Quinlivan, Redmond Chief Executive Officer. "We're proud to offer these services and proud the GHA has rated them among the best in the state."
