At 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, Roman Tony Triplitt purchased his tickets
to the 2012 Russell Athletic-NAIA Football National Championship, making him
the first ticket buyer for each game since the championship arrived in Rome
in 2008.
"Tony is an important part of the NAIA tradition in Rome," said Host
Committee Co-Chair Bob Berry. "Tony was the first person to ask us how to
get tickets when we were awarded the game. He's always ready to be first in
line."
This year's championship match will be played Thursday, Dec. 13, at Barron
Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m. The price for game tickets is $25.
"We want to encourage fan participation in this year's event," said Berry.
"Rome, Ga., will return to the national stage for this game and for next
year's game, and we encourage the community to support the championship."

for other championship events, including the Fellowship of Christian
Athletes Champions of Character Luncheon, which will be held Tuesday, Dec.
11, at 12 noon at the Forum, and the NAIA Banquet of Champions, which will
be held Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Forum. Tickets for the
luncheon are $25 each or $250 for a sponsor's table of 10; banquet tickets
are $30 for an individual ticket or $300 for a sponsor's table of 10.
