Sept. 22: Rome Symphony Orchestra opens season with featured soloists Mirna Ogrizovic and Sinisa Ciric

Media release: The Rome Symphony Orchestra opens the 2012-2013 concert
season on Saturday, September 22 at the Rome City Auditorium. The featured
soloists for the concert are RSO musicians Mirna Ogrizovic and Sinisa Ciric.
Both musicians have their Doctor of Music Arts degrees from the University
of Georgia and both have been playing with the Orchestra for almost 10
years. Sinsia is the orchestra's concertmaster and Mirna is Principal Chair
of the second violin section.

The Concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will highlight the talent of the
orchestra's string sections. Sinisa and Mirna will perform Bach's "Violin
Concerto for Two Violins". Also being performed during the evening will be
John Rutter's "Suite for Strings", Vaughan Williams' "Fantasia on a Theme by
Thomas Tallis" and Peter Warlock's "Capriol".

Sinsis Ciric received his undergraduate degree from the Academy of Arts,
University of Novi Sad (Yugoslavia) and master degree from University of
Georgia. He received his DMA degree in violin and viola performance at
University of Georgia in Athens studying with world renowned professor Levon
Ambartsumian (student of Kogan and Yankelevich). He attended master classes
with William Preucil and Jean-Mark Vajerbedian (Trio Wanderer).

Mr. Ciric is a concertmaster of Savannah Philharmonic, Gwinnett Ballet
Orchestra and Rome Symphony, GA. He appeared as a soloist with New Atlanta
Philharmonic, Rome Symphony Orchestra and Georgia Philharmonic as well as
Bach Festival Orchestra, Rome, GA.

As a member of ARCO Chamber Orchestra Mr. Ciric performed in Carnegie Hall
and was featured as soloist on ARCO's most recent recording of Vivaldi's
concertos for two, three and four violins. He has participated in many
festivals, most recently Piccolo Spoleto and Bellingham Music Festival.

Prior to coming to USA his orchestra experience involves Belgrade
Philharmonic Orchestra (Yugoslavia), the Symphonic Orchestra of the
Radio-Television of Serbia, the Orchestra of the National Theatre and the
ensemble Camerata Academica. While performing with the Symphonic Orchestra
of Serbian Radio Television, he played under the baton of many distinguished
conductors, such as Zubin Mehta, Christian Mandeal, Gyula Nemet, Michael
Palmer, Mikis Teodorakis, Christian Badea and many others.

Sinisa is Artist Affiliate at Emory University and teaches violin, viola and
chamber music at Oxford College of Emory University as well as at Georgia
Perimeter College in Atlanta and Darlington School in Rome, GA.

Mirna Ogrizovic, was born in Croatia, but grew up in Belgrade, Serbia where
she received her violin performance degree from School of Music, University
of Arts, Belgrade. She also received Master of Music degree in orchestral
conducting from Georgia State University in Atlanta and Doctorate Degree in
conducting at the University of Georgia.

Before she moved to United States (in 2001), she was Associate Concertmaster
of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Serbian Radio Television in Belgrade, the
Associate Artistic Director of the Ensemble of the Studio for Early Music,
and a soloist of the Ensemble Renaissance and the Orchestra of the National
Theatre.

As a baroque violinist, Ms. Ogrizovic-Ciric performed with John Holloway,
Evelyn Tubb, Michael Fields, and has participated in master classes with the
late Micaela Comberti, as well as with Julia Bishop. She has received
numerous awards in national and international competitions, including the
silver medal in the international violin competition in Strezza, Italy.

As a conductor, Ms Ogrizovic performed a world premiere of composition by
renowned Russian composer Mikhail Broner conducting ARCO Chamber Orchestra
(formerly the Moscow Chamber Orchestra) in Carnegie Hall. She is the newly
appointed Music Director of Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ms. Ogrizovic is professor of violin, viola and chamber music, as well as
conductor of the Oak Hill Symphony Orchestra, at Berry College in Rome, GA.
