Aug. 13: CiCi's Pizza in Rome, Cartersville taking part in "Dough Raisers" for Special Olympics

Media release: CiCi’s Pizza will cap off its month-long fundraising initiative for Special Olympics Georgia on Monday, Aug. 13 with “Dough Raisers” events at participating* locations across the state. On this day, CiCi’s guests will be challenged to purchase enough “Buy a Smile, Be a Fan” Special Olympics paper logos to cover an entire law enforcement vehicle. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the $1 logos will go to Special Olympics Georgia.

The partnership for Special Olympics began on July 16. Since then, CiCi’s guests have had the opportunity to purchase and personalize the logos, which have been on display in restaurants throughout the state.

“It has been incredibly rewarding to partner with Special Olympics Georgia to give back to our communities and the families that make them great,” said CiCi’s Field Marketing Manager Lauren Albright. “We encourage our neighbors to head into their local CiCi’s restaurant on Aug. 13 to help raise money for such a great cause.”

In addition to the logo proceeds, CiCi’s will donate 10 percent of the “Dough Raisers” event day’s sales to Special Olympics Georgia.

“Special Olympics allows people with intellectual disabilities to be part of a larger community of athletes, coaches, volunteers and supporters,” said President and CEO of Special Olympics Georgia, Georgia Milton-Sheats. “Partnerships with companies like CiCi’s Pizza allow us to boost our fundraising efforts and help more individuals and families in Georgia.”

Participating restaurants are located in Dalton, Rome, Cartersville and Woodstock.
