July 27: Free car seat check set for Kmart parking lot.

Media release: Safe Kids of Floyd County, in conjunction with Georgia State Patrol Post 38, will hold a free car seat check at the Rome Kmart parking lot on Friday, July 27 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. This seat check is open to the public.

Safe Kids certified child passenger safety technicians will inspect all types of child safety seats to make sure that they are properly installed. 90 percent of car seats are used incorrectly. No appointment is necessary but allow at least 30 minutes for the check and paperwork.

Safe Kids of Floyd County is an affiliate of Safe Kids of Georgia working to prevent unintentional childhood injury, the leading cause of death and disability for children ages 1 to 14.
