Media release: Traditional patriotic music provided by the Eighth Regiment Band of the Georgia Volunteer Infantry and the Rome Symphony Orchestra will be featured during the annual Rome-Floyd County Fourth of July Celebration at Ridge Ferry Park.
The event is sponsored this year by Harbin Clinic and the Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation Authority. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with the first concert beginning at 7 p.m. Fireworks will begin after the Symphony concert, around 9:30 p.m.
This will be the first free public concert by the Rome Symphony in more than 10 years and will feature the full symphony (approximately 60 members) playing traditional patriotic music in a pops format. The Eighth Regiment Band will perform authentic Eighteenth Century era patriotic music.
"It is our hope that the music from these concerts will be an inspiration for our community and be enjoyed by many people," said Ken Davis, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Harbin Clinic. "It is an opportunity to celebrate the birth of The United States in a traditional family-friendly format and we encourage everyone to attend."
Based in Rome, Harbin Clinic is Georgia's largest physician-owned multi-specialty clinic with 23 locations providing treatment in 36 specialties. The clinic includes more than 150 physicians, 60 mid-level providers, and 1,100 employees.
