Exchange Club of Rome honored at 87th District Exchange Convention

Media release: A Rome delegation of over 15 Exchangites and their spouses attended the 87^th Georgia District Exchange Club Convention in Macon this weekend, June 14-16, 2012.  The Exchange Club of Rome received many honors at this event:

·         The Exchange Club of Rome received the award for large clubs for the largest net membership increase.

·         The Exchange Club of Rome was presented with the Exchange Club of the Year Award.

·         Exchange Club of Rome President and District One Director Buzz Wachsteter received the Outstanding Club President Award.

·         Exchange Club of Rome President and District One Director Buzz Wachsteter received the Outstanding District Director trophy.

·         President Wachsteter was also presented with the Conductor of the Year award for recruiting the most new members in a three month period; and Exchangite Bill Fricks was the recipient of the Assistant Conductor of the Year award for his recruiting efforts.

 

Another event that takes place at the 87^th Georgia District Convention is the election of District officers and directors.  Ted Noe, past President of the Exchange Club of Rome, past Georgia District One Director and one of two Georgia District Vice Presidents 2011-2012, is now the Georgia District President Elect for 2012-2013.  Buzz Wachsteter, President of the Exchange Club of Rome and Georgia District One Director, is now one of two Georgia District Vice Presidents 2012-2013.
