Rome Little Theatre plans auditions for "Oliver Twist" on June 2-3 at DeSoto

Media release: Rome Little Theatre will hold auditions for its production of "Oliver Twist" on Saturday, June 2 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, June 3 at 7 p.m. at the historic DeSoto Theatre in downtown Rome.

On Saturday, auditions will be for children and teenagers 18 and under only. Registration will begin at 12 p.m., and those auditioning should be ready to begin promptly at 1 p.m. On Sunday, auditions will be for adults who are 19 and older only. Registration will begin at 6 p.m. and auditions at 7 p.m.

There are roles available for children and adults of all ages. Auditions are open to the community.

Those auditioning should also hold the evening of Monday, June 4 for callbacks.

Anyone interested in auditioning is asked to bring with them to auditions a completed audition form that includes any conflicts with the rehearsal schedule. The audition form and rehearsal calendar are available online at romelittletheatre.com. More detailed information, including character descriptions, is also available at this website.

The production will run the weekends of Aug. 24 and 31 with Friday and Saturday evening shows and Sunday matinees.
