New student registration date for Floyd County Schools is Aug. 1

Media release: The new student registration date for the 2012 – 2013 school year will be Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The registration will be available at all schools in the system. The registration is just for students new to the school system or for students who have moved to a new attendance area within the system.   Students moving to a new school due to advancing to the next grade level in the same attendance area the child attended last year (for example moving from elementary school to middle school) would not need to register on this date. 

Requirements for registration:

  • Parent or legal guardian must accompany enrolling student
  • Immunization Certificate
  • Eye/ear/dental Certificate
  • Birth Certificate/SSN card
  • Proof of Residency (a current official utility bill that shows name and address)
  • Record from previous school, if available
Floyd County Schools provides an educational program that can turn dreams into reality.  Recent graduates from Floyd County high schools have gone on to study at Georgia, Georgia Tech, Harvard, Vanderbilt, Berklee School of Music in Boston, and West Point.  Students with a dream and a passion for learning can open doors to make their dreams a reality in a Floyd County educational program.
