Media release: Rome Little Theatre will hold open auditions for its summer variety show, "Broadway Spectacular IV," on Saturday, April 21 and Monday, April 23 at the historic DeSoto Theatre, located at 530 Broad St. "Broadway Spectacular IV" will be one of the major events in the year-long celebration of Rome Little Theatre's 30th year at the DeSoto and will feature songs from many of the shows that have been performed over the last 30 years.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 2 p.m., with registration beginning at 1 p.m., and on Monday, April 23 at 7 p.m., with registration beginning at 6 p.m.
Those cast will include singers and dancers from school age to adults. At auditions, performers will be taught simple dance routines and will be asked to perform one of a selection of songs from the show which will be posted on the RLT website, romelittletheatre.com. Accompaniment will be provided for the selected songs.
"Broadway Spectacular IV" will be presented July 13, 14, and 15 and July 20, 21, and 22, with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 and Sunday afternoons at 2:30.
