GNTC Adult Education Program Offers GED(r) Classes and Testing

Media release: Georgia Northwestern Technical College's Office of Adult Education would like to encourage unemployed adults, and any other adults lacking a high school diploma, to enroll in day or evening classes to upgrade educational skills and take the General Educational Development (GED®) Test for the high school equivalency diploma.  Now is a particularly good time to add educational credentials, as recent jobs information indicates that more highly educated adults are less likely to be unemployed during this economic downturn.  Information from the GED® Testing Office of the Technical College System of Georgia states that a change to computer-based administration of the GED® Test in early 2012 will be accompanied by an increase in the fee for GED® testing, although the specifics are still not available at this time.  For those who need a GED® Diploma, GNTC and the Dollar General Literacy Foundation are working together to provide GED® Testing scholarships to adults who meet enrollment, attendance, and progress requirements.
