-First-time jobless claims in Floyd climb 8.1%
-Bartow sees big drop (33%); Gordon, Polk, Chattooga drop, too.

Work gets under way on restore Etowah Crossing
-Crews were out early Wednesday, continuing to rehab the shopping center that once featured Kroger, Hooters and other retailers.
