Annual 4th of July Fireworks: Salute to America Celebration at Ridge Ferry Park

 
Media release: The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority will host family fun and entertainment at the annual Salute to America Fireworks Celebration on July 4th at Ridge Ferry Park. Festivities begin at 6:00 PM and include children's activities, all American food and snacks, live music, and fireworks display.

 

There will be a children's play area with water slides and inflatables.  New this year is a flight simulator that will allow participants to experience what it is like to pilot a plane.

 

The live music will begin at 6:30 pm to include Jerry on the Moon followed by KneckDown. The Floyd EMS Honor Guard will do a presentation of colors followed by a pipe solo performed by Joe Dunaway and the national anthem sung by Samantha Robinson. The fireworks show will begin after the national anthem. Mr. Synester, the Battle of the Bands winner, will present a show after the fireworks.

 

The public is encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating.

 

Parking and event admission is free thanks to event sponsors: Rome Coca-Cola, Coosa Valley Federal Credit Union and Metro PCS.

 

Trails will be closed from Burrell Creek to Ridge Ferry Stage on Monday, July 4 for fireworks display set-up.  The parking lot at Burrell Creek will also be closed. Access Ridge Ferry Park from Farmer's Market and Shoals parking lots.

 

Pets are not allowed.
