The Model Ruritan Club recently donated 'Rudy Bears' to the Floyd County Sheriff's Department to be given to children who the deputies come in contact with during their duties. Ruritan Clubs all across the country donate thousands of these stuffed bears each year to law enforcement, hospitals, DFACS, and fire departments to help children cope with stressful situations. Pictured above (L-R) are: K9 Unit Deputy Jimmy Allred, Ruritan member Shelton Matthews, Deputy Tom Caldwell, Ruritan member Jack Stover, Ruritan member Charles Browder, Deputy Dawn Casey, Rudy (Ruritan member Les Hopper), and in front : Champ, the K9 Drug enforcement dog. Below: Charles Browder holds some of the Rudy Bears while Champ and Rudy become friends.
