700 new Toyo jobs possible with 'inducements' offered by Bartow development authority to growing tire maker: As many as 700 additional jobs over the next decade are possible thanks to an "inducement" package being offered by the Bartow-Cartersville Joint Development Authority to Toyo Tire, the owner of a sprawling--and successful--tire manufacturing plant in White outside of Cartersville. -What appears to be the one-time home of a proposed medical arts building is now listed on LoopNet. The commercial real estate site lists 2.1 acres available for $750,000. Says the ad: "Excellent location for restaurant, fast food or sit down. Possible drugstore site." It once was home to the Feed Mill. It is considered a hot spot as development continues at the nearby Riverside Professional Park plus the new Armuchee Connector's terminus across the highway. Details
Restaurant roller coaster continues:
-First we saw three local Arby's close suddenly in Rome and Rockmart. Last week, it was the longtime home of Mrs. Winners in Cartersville. This week, it is the Martha Berry site of Mrs. Winners as well as the original home of Bella Roma as the owners focus on the 11-month-old Bella Roma Grill at State Mutual Stadium.
