The word on Broad Street:

-Look for a soft opening of The Greener Burger, 315 Broad St., on Monday--or at least next week. Owner Michael Landers' crews have been gutting and rebuilding the Krystal. That includes a patio area and water fountain facing Tribune Street. We did a quick walk-through on Thursday; it looks ready to go.

-Bye-bye, Wachovia: The downtown office is getting its new signage this week. Crews removed one Wachovia sign Wednesday and Wells Fargo was up on the building, facing Broad.

-Reminder: Downtown sidewalk sale from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., including some book signings at Dogwood Books & Antiques.
