Weather update

Tornado watch expires; other alerts still in place

>A tornado watch has been lifted for Northwest Georgia; still up for other areas. Watch

>Flash flood warning:  Chattooga, Floyd, Gordon counties until noon. Warning

>A wind advisory continues through 1 p.m. for much of the region. Wind

>Rainfall since midnight: 1.59 inches at the airport as of 11 a.m.

Oostanaula to peak at 9.4 feet Friday evening

The river has been rising since the storms swept through Wednesday morning. Look for the river to peak at U.S. 27's measuring spot at 7 p.m. Friday at 9.4 feet, well below flood stage of 25 feet.  Click River
