Thanksgiving holiday updates:

-Gas prices haven't been this low since March 2005: The average price of a gallon of unleaded is at $1.77 in Georgia. It hasn't been that low since the opening months of 2005. A year ago, we were paying $3.08 a gallon. For more, click Gas.

-DOT suspends road work during holidays: The Georgia DOT is suspending lane closures on all interstate and major state system highways from 5 a.m. Wednesday until midnight Sunday to ease traffic flow. Check the highways> DOT

Elections 2008/The runoff

You can vote in advance today and Wednesday at the county administration building, Fourth Avenue and First Street, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No civic center voting.
