>Gingrey's offices seeing flood of e-mails, plenty of calls, too: U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey's office has received "a couple thousand e-mails on the issue since all of this started last week," says Chris Jackson, a media aide to the congressman, regarding the credit crunch. "This ranks up there with the great issues of our time like immigration and the energy crisis," Jackson said.

>Can't commute to the client? Try Web cams: An Atlanta public relations expert and friend of this site, Mitch Leff, has taken another approach to reaching his clients when gas is scarce. "I decided to try web cams to see how effective they would be for 'meeting' with clients. The idea was that using webcams in place of some of our in-person meetings would be great savings in time, cutting out the travel time to meetings, and, of course, there's the gas expense. My clients have been very receptive to the concept and I've already got several of them up and running, including LBi, Sanders Financial Management, MDI Group and the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce."
