>Also today/Applebee's hosts Dining to Donate benefiting diabetes: From 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., patrons can help find a cure for diabetes at Applebee's. Each diner presenting an invitation (click Here) will have 15 percent of their food and beverage total donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes. Patrons may also visit the Rome Athletic Club or Rome Finance Co. The event was organized by local 11-year-old Carter Babb, a type 1 diabetic who uses the Internet for much of his fundraising.
